A natural extension of the successful, neighbourhood-based Park & Bark Dog Showstm, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Greater Toronto Area’s ultimate Dog Owners Products and Services Directory, DogTO.ca
Our large and tightly knit community of GTA Dog Owners needs a new online hub – one that’s easy and expedient as the go-to resource for all things d-o-g. With the massive explosion of dog ownership in Toronto – from the number of dogs (currently more than 240,000 and growing), to the total amount spent on all services and products for dogs (estimated at well over $1 billion), to more first-time owners, a plethora of pet shops, new developments in pet food and nutrition, treats, toys, clothing and accessories companies both online and on street, plus thousands of veterinarians, medical clinics, walkers, groomers, trainers, pet sitters and wellness experts… Well it’s long overdue for Toronto to have its very own directory to amass and offer valuable information in one central location, while making it easy and fast to search and find important details and contacts all dog owners want.
Please bookmark this site, and share the good news about the DogTo.ca Directory with your park buddies and via social media. The listings are easily searchable and referenced by business name, proximity to your postal code, areas and type of business. For example, “search all Dog Walkers within 5 kms of M1P 2A2…”
So, if you’ve just moved to North Toronto from Richmond Hill, or moved from Montreal to Liberty Village, you’ll find a long list of valuable resources available in your neighbourhood. Simply use the Search function and pull down menus.
In addition to its invaluable directory, the DogTO.ca hub will include loads of valued, interesting and keep it on the fridge-type features; contacts, lists and stories on compelling topics every rookie or experienced dog owner wants to know: the 5Ws to help navigate life with your beloved dog.
We’ll host Readers’ Choice Awards, new product features, retail and services news, travelling with your pup features, undiscovered new (and old fave!) dog parks, funky and fun fashion and equipment reviews, consumer contests (cutest puppy pics with fantastic prizes, of course); and loads of expert discussions on a variety of dog care topics. Reader feedback is always welcome.
Join us and check in frequently; we’ll have lots more to share in the coming months. Don’t forget to like us on FB and Instagram.
Welcome aboard – it’s going to be a fun walk in the park for all!
The DogTO Team.
